Why Myo Glide

The quiet standard on massage tables for over three decades.

Rooted in a lineage.

Myo Glide was born inside the Structural Medicine community that Donna Bajelis built. A physical therapist who became a Hellerwork practitioner and then founded the Institute of Structural Medicine, Donna asked her student Nancy Thorpe for a local cream that could grip without drag, glide without slip — something made close to home instead of shipped in from out of state. Nancy blended the first jars on her stove in the early 90s. The same recipe still leaves the bench today.

Predictable, not persuasive.

Manual therapists don't need a product that "does" something. They need one that stays out of the way — consistent grip, controlled glide, and no chemical variables changing between the deltoid and the sacrum. Myo Glide has been that jar for over thirty years because the formula never changed.

Where it lives.

Myo Glide is used every day by:

  • Structural Integrators
Rolfing® and Rolf Movement® practitioners who need firm grip for slow, deep fascial work.
  • Licensed Massage Therapists
From deep tissue to Swedish — one product with two consistencies.
  • Physical Therapists
Used in hospital-based rehab settings and private clinics where clean, low-reaction ingredients matter.
Raw ingredients

Two ingredients. On purpose.

Coconut oil for the glide. Beeswax for the grip. Ratio tuned by hand for each batch — Firm for deep work, Soft for everything else. No fragrance, no essential oils, no preservatives, no emulsifiers. What isn't in the jar matters as much as what is.

"The same jar has been on my table for twenty-five years."
